BRANDING
Michelle has over 20 years of marketing experience – with 15 years on the client side in brand management with Procter & Gamble, Pepperidge Farm, Lavazza Coffee and Remy Cointreau (1990-2004) and 5 years on the consulting side as svp at Sterling Brands NY (2005-2010). She has managed brand strategy, positioning, qualitative/quantitative research and design planning for clients including Campbell’s, Nestle, Celestial Seasonings, Ben & Jerry’s, McCormick, Alouette Cheese, Kozy Shack, The U.S. Potato Board, and many others. At Sterling, she was also the creator and team leader of an annual trends presentation to inspire clients.

Michelle founded joyful plate LLC in 2010 to specialize in food, beverage and lifestyle brands, with a recent focus on leading emerging and start up brands.

DELIGHT IN FOOD & WINE
Michelle’s passion began in the mid-90’s when she was recruited to Remy Cointreau as Brand Director for the Antinori family of Florence, one of the world’s oldest and most distinguished wine producers as well as for Champagne Krug, Piper, and a range of boutique wines. During her tenure, Antinori was named a “Hot Growth brand” by the Wine Spectator and the Piper Heidsieck Champagne business doubled from innovative millennium marketing. Michelle has travelled extensively throughout Europe has had some unusual culinary experiences, inspiring her to complete a certificate course at the French Culinary Institute and an advanced certificate in Wine & Spirits Education from the WSET in London. Long term, she is committed to a career which combines her love for good food and beverages with supporting companies that promote wellness. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining and travel experiences, making risotto for friends and family.
